Thrustmaster warthog throttle issue
« on: August 05, 2013, 06:09:36 pm »

The warthog throttle acts all wacky in Outtera....    when programming axis, number 7 axis pops up a lot, but when I do get the correct axis to work, then in game (throttle) jumps around from 0-50-10-65 and so on when I move the axis. I tried the calibration, but not sure if it is doing anything.

The Warthog does have multiple axis...

Btw , love rift mode and flying

Calibration currently doesn't provide any feedback, but it basically works like this - after you press the button, it starts recording the minimum and maximum values for each axis. That's why you have to put them to the extreme positions. Then after you exit the menu, these values are saved into the joystick's configuration file.

If it still acts weird after this procedure, please include your eng.log file.

Hi guys,

I found this page http://members.aon.at/mfranz/warthog.html
it seems the Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog throttle has a few axes in strange format that is not by the spec (they are using big endian ordering for some axes). I will add a custom code for Thrustmaster to handle those axes correctly. I really don't understand why hid/joy manufacturers are doing this mess.
