Hi, guys!

I wanted to ask you, how high can the star citizen 300i space craft can go? I hope the star citizen 300i space craft have RCS thrusters so I can maneuver in space and the rocket engines so it can accelerate in space. Thanks!

              Cheers,
          Vincent

That's way too complicated to implement and it won't be anything like the actual game. If you want those features I suggest backing Star Citizen and wait for the game to release :)

I'm a Veteran Backer for SC and I saw this video on YouTube this morning.  And it led me to buy Outerra....so thanks!  Can't wait to play around with it.

New built doesn't seem to work for me. Can't load the dynamic flight model. happens with every download that doesn't have a jbsim file with it.

Another Star Citizen backer here! :3  I'm glad to see the 300i in Outerra as that is my ship in SC :D
Thanks for sharing. It would be awesome to have a modeled cockpit too. =P

How do you add it to the Jsbsim folder? I am really new and have no idea how to do it.

I made a fixed complete otx package, with JSBSim files included (uses naboo engines btw), here:

This and a few other aircraft have no textures for me. They come out jet black.  :P

I have the same effect but if you look closely at the 300 you will see it is still textured. It just extremely glossy.

Thank you! This will hold me over until Star Citizen adds DK2 support :)

How difficult would it be to import other SC ships into Outerra?

I saw that there was no roughness map in the mtl. So I used (and invert) the specular  map  that was in the folder, and edited the .mtl
There's more textures that are not used like 300i_Mechanical_4096_diff.dds. I wonder if these were supposed to fit on this model....

If you like this look, simply drop the files in the 300i folder and overwrite.

Not sure what the creators would say - they getting a ton of bucks for them ... But taking a ride around the Moon and Mars, when theyre in OT, is tempting as hell.  ;D

... you can do a re-pack .otx of that ship whyte those textures ...

They won't say anything. It's "our" game. We are making it happen. Actualy they encurage it and often post fan spotlights of ppl doing stuff like this. Besides, this was posted on RSI forums long time ago and there was no problem. :)

Actually there are a few game changers for Outerra. We're waiting for clouds of course, but probably even more important is water and lights. A ship like this isn't complete without lights and an eerily glowing exhaust.........

Has anyone made an updated model with engine effects? And are any other ships like the Avenger being ported?

Special lighting effects are still under construction. There was a promo posted some time ago, witch is basically the actual crater-gun. But they have to set the lighting to coming clouds and terrain at different LODs. So it will be a longer time till implemented in full potential.
