Title: Self Shadowing Terrain Demo
Post by: knorko on November 08, 2013, 09:42:33 am
hi all,

just found this realtime demonstration of a terrain renderer on the internets. so while i think outerraneans are used to more sophisticated procedural terrain, this one comes with nice self shadowing which adds a lot to the scene. looking forward to see it in OT too? https://www.shadertoy.com/view/MdX3Rr (https://www.shadertoy.com/view/MdX3Rr)

Self shadowing was tested a long while ago and it will be implemented but the updates along the way have broken it and make it more difficult. A new method will be worked on and implemented in the hopefully near future..
