(split from here (http://www.outerra.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=1928#p1928))
Nice write-up :). Next year get a buddy to take some video of the conference ... would be cool to see, since I probably won't be able to get out there.
And swag! That's what Outerra needs ... cool mugs, T-shirts, pens! Lots of other cool things. Would be cool to have a little store on the website where we could purchase some of these things. I know I'd do it in a heartbeat :D

Angrypig's colors. Mine should be orange :p

LOL ... and yeah, I tend to wear mostly black and grey, preferably black. I tend to be dark and moody, despite my use of smilies on forums :) :D :p
And thanks for splitting off the topic ... I thought about it after I posted it.
I have a few other ideas for some swag that I'll post in a couple of days ;)

Setup a Zazzle Store. Zazzle is a ripoff but you can't get a bigger marketplace. My store sells a pretty steady stream of stupid shirts. http://www.zazzle.com/violatorgaming*?st=date_created&ps=100#products
I have enough money in my account to buy at least one Outerra shirt should you decide to sell them. And I would wear it with pride and punch anyone asking what it was. Giving OT that bad boy on the block appeal.
(http://outerra.com/webackx.png) Full color logo on the left would do best on a shirt.

ROTFL ... I loved this one: http://www.zazzle.com/the_prices_may_vary_tshirt-235489392993311664
And I agree, the full color logo would be best. However, the cost differential between the white logo versus full color might be prohibitive. I work in the printer industry (some of the printers I worked on printed directly to T-shirts), and the cost difference was dramatic.
Wonder what Outerra swag sales would be like after a year?
I visited a buddy/mentor of mine up in Seattle a couple of years ago. He was then working as a 3d artist on the MMO, "The Agency," by Sony. I received TONS of cool swag from the devs, one of which was a "secret agent pen" that would project "The Agency logo" at about a 3 foot distance. I can imagine Outerra having something just as cool as that :D

I like that idea, seems quite simple to execute.
We should create a final logo for Outerra, we are still changing it and still not quite content with it. Although as I see it we'll end up with two logos, a black-and-white flat logo of boredom for some, and something more colorful for others :P
