Title: View rotates on Y axis when controller plugged in.
Post by: Evildropbear on May 10, 2014, 04:05:25 pm
Hello

I have an odd problem that when my controller is plugged in, and I play Outerra, the camera slowly 'looks up'.

The obvious answer would be 'your controller isn't calibrated correctly', but I checked and it is, so it shouldn't be sending any input to the game if I'm not using it (and no other games have this issue).

If I unplug the controller after the game is running, the problem still persists. It only goes away if the controller is unplugged before I start the game.

Yes I saw that topic, and unbinding it 'solves' the issue, but since there is no input from the controller, it shouldn't be moving the camera?

There's always some input from joysticks, because it's rarely precisely at zero while at rest. You could suppress it also by setting a dead zone for the joystick.
