Title: Dynamic Map in Browser (no, the other way!)
Post by: ZeosPantera on March 29, 2011, 04:06:58 am
Basically I know you can get google maps of the earth while in OT.. But can you get a google map's style map of outerra when in your web browser?

Example. This is the dynamic nearly instantly updating map of our current minecraft server.

It is very helpful and more importantly "cool"

You can see who is on, where they are and even their characters custom face! A similar feat in OT would be helpful.

That's cool indeed

We plan to generate maps of the world. I was considering running it on daily basis, generating global political or faction maps with cities and roads.
But such a realtime map would be cool too. Could be made as a service that players can set up to run, covering their selected area. Or something.
