Title: Its time to fix Physics.
Post by: gamerpaddy on April 28, 2014, 10:57:46 am
hey, i just wondering why im still flipping and glitchting around with a car in 2014, does the devs dont know how to fix it, or they dont want to fix it?
Cars stuck in ground, flipping over, making hyperspeed barrell rolls and freaking out.

Outerra is using physx, right?  PhysX is fine for calculating, but itself its the worst thing you can do for physics.
i have never seen a game, that worked well with physx, all other ones that doesnt use physx, works perfectly.

pls devs, make the game a bit more "Playable" for ground-vehicle users.

Technically it is only still a game engine tech demo in an alpha-stage, so I think car physics are not top priority! While I agree, I'd much rather see bigger improvements, like better looking water, night lighting, weather, and such!

I think before any sort of kickstarter campaign a good deal of the issues will need to be fixed so it doesn't get laughed off stage.

As far as I know it doesn't use PhysX, but Bullet.
