Title: Joystick?
Post by: mustang60348 on November 03, 2012, 05:00:39 pm
Is there a file that defines the joystick axis for heli etc. My joystick isn't working anymore, i.e. won't pick it up when I move it when trying to select, says UNKNOWN

Joy definition files are in the devs/ folder in your OT data directory, you can delete it and try to configure it anew. If it doesn't help, please attach your eng.log file here.

Sorry, I misspoke there, I mean a file that changes which axis controls what, Here is my problem right now.

If I try and use 'in game', my axis come up with UNKNOWN (all in caps). If I choose defaults some axis works e.g. rudder , throttle is on wrong axis but it works, ailerons work but on wrong axis and elevators don't work on any axis.

Any ideas?

The mapping is defined in iomap.cfg, you can edit it directly there too.
Will check what can cause the UNKNOWN.

Tried making changes to iomap.cfg, doesn't seem to do anything, changes there don't seem to take effect, even after restarting

Ignore previous post, I was changing it in the OT install dir instead of USER/OT dir

Yes, it's a bug with the new version, will be fixed soon.

Thank you so much, right now I am editing it manually, which works of course, I am just lazy :)
