Title: Black screen on startup [Mobility 5870 v12.10 Win7x64]

even when tried booting with 'Diagnostic startup' checked in msconfig.
I can only see the program's special white cursor and if I click I can sometimes see a text cursor.

Anyone knows any other workaround for this issue?

Did you try the F keys, I had a similar thing where I spawned in black. I pressed F2 choose a location and all was well.

Please find eng.log in users/outerra directory and attach it here. Black screen usually means another program (antivirus, graphic overlays etc) hooking and interfering with outerra.exe. Hooked programs are listed in the eng.log.
