I got some errors that keep bugging me, how do I get rid of them?
- the first red one is when I tried to spawn my imported flying object
- the second red one is when I opened JS after I spawned cessna
- the blue warning appears every time when I spawn cessna or something similar with the truck or helicopter I think

Or this...

And after I made it under 65k poly... this...

What should I do?

Try deleting what you have in data dir under packages/midvighi and import it again. Might be some of earlier imports corrupted or something, if the paths in those messages are right.

ERROR: failed to create aircraft, aircraft: cannot load flight dynamic model Vibrosa
It is not letting me to spawn the object.

Is there a "Vibrosa" flight dynamics model in JSBSim? You'd probably want to use one of the existing FDMs that come with JSBSim, or create your own FDM using JSBSim's tools.
-
Ok thx... I'l look in to that. :)
-
I had this same thing and appeared that my packages got all messed up somehow. I cleared the extra vehicles and reinstalled them and that worked for me. Looks like it is missing the flight dynamics file for the vehicle.
-
You know.. I never told you, but this error is bugging me since July / August 2012.But I didn't bother to fix it.

And it stills popping up every time I try to import any 'vehicle' / 'aircraft' / 'static object' ... or even when I spawn the truck or the plane.. but it spawns it anyway + the warnings and errors.
-
Looks like you installed over some older version and there are now objdef files that point to non-existing geometry.
-
And the funny thing is that... those files are there!!!The files are in those folders, but he is.. "nope.. I don't see them". ;D
I should probably play a bit with them or something...till I figure it out how to spawn any of my vehicle / aircraft. On static object even if it shows the errors... I can still spawn the object.
-
I managed to spawn the object... it seems it was something from the .dae file.

I imported it as vehicle, but haven't seen the bones to attach them to the main object like in the video... Do I need to do it manually with Visual Studio or Notepad++ from the file?
-
I think I fixed the Cessna and the truck errors and warnings. There where 2 sets of files.

The bones must be present in the model.

The bones must be present in the model.
I have started to read : http://www.outerra.com/forum/index.php?topic=1185.0 (http://www.outerra.com/forum/index.php?topic=1185.0)
And from what I see there, I had a bit of the same trouble as well.Like not knowing if a separate element within the mesh or separate meshes. And I need to read more carefully maybe I will find about bones.
And I saw something. But from what you say, "present in the model", if u'r talking about 'bones' from the 3D modeling program, like for example the bones from 3DS Max. Angrypig specifically said in that other topic "no bones".But I think you are talking about the objects ( different meshes ) being chained. But not trough 'bones'.
Anyway.. another matter.. I downloaded documentation and some software, related to JSBsim. But any idea how to make my own sim. Cause for what I have, I need something special.I mean I have 4 spaceship thrusters. And none of the JSBsim models I downloaded have something similar.
Any advice from your own experience maybe?... you know a youtube video or something related? You know.. to make it easier to learn how to do it.And I'm thinking of making some tutorials after. For the newcomers, for them to learn the basics at least.

Actually both these things go a bit aside of me, I'm no modeler and don't know the exact terminology used there, bones/nodes/meshes etc. It needs someone else to relate it to the modeling program you are using, and perhaps you should also download existing models from others and see how it is done there.
But basically models are composed of meshes organized in a hierarchy, and nodes of that hierarchy can be animated by the script if you mark them as bones in the importer.
For JSBSim specialties you must ask on the JSBSim mailing list or to study their documentation, we are basically only using the existing FDMs there.

About attachments:
1) Don't use any bones (In max or anywhere
2) (In 3D Max) If I remember correctly - all moving parts should be separate meshes. However, in the end group them and export as single object.
3) During import you should see those attachments.
-
3) During import you should see those attachments.
Nope... no attachment. But I do see the bones in the file... so I think I will probably manually write those lines if its possible and if it works.
Yep... I tried multiple things till now. I made it!... to fly with my object, even if it was bad... but I need my own personalized JSBSim model. I even looked around the files a bit in Visual Studio, and read a few pages from that .pdf file. But my patience is just directly proportional or equal to a breast child in need of milk. ;D
So if any pointers about what software works best in making the JSBSim model(s), to make the waiting process faster... well they are all very welcomed!

I used this page to make basic jsbsim FDM - http://jsbsim.sf.net/aeromatic2.html (http://jsbsim.sf.net/aeromatic2.html)

I don't know what is wrong. All the objects are from the same file. Why does it not see it like in the video?
-
You should group all the objects in one group before exporting them to dae.
-
"Attach"?... or how as a group?... or with a skin modifier? Or skin modif + "attach"? I tried both separate, apart, as "editable mesh" or "poly".I'm really in the dark right here... or I must have checked something from the exporter window when exporting the object?
-
What 3d software do you use? In 3ds max it's selecting all the objects and grouping them by Group->Group menu.
-
Oh.. I found.. ;D
Now it works!!!

Thx for the help by the way!!! ;D ... You made my day!
