Title: No roads
Post by: Vincent1000 on May 07, 2013, 12:44:21 am
Hi, guys!

When I load up the outerra alpha, I click on location tab, I click on 2 airport, the airport is missing in the latest version of outerra alpha, and also the earth is rotating much faster than it should and that is why the sky is getting dark so quickly. Please look into this. Thanks!

          Cheers,
       Vincent

You probably didn't check the checkbox to install the demo data when installing the latest version. Without that there are no roads/runways.
The rotation is determined by the time multiplier setting (Sun tab in F2 location window). By default it's set to 72x, set it to 1x to get a normal time flow.

Hi, Cameni!

Since the demo is installed, how do I check the box to get roads and runways? Thanks!

Just run the installer again (download from http://demo.outerra.com (http://demo.outerra.com)), and don't forget to check the box with the demo data.

Vincent, there is a time slider modifier. Set it to 1 if you want realtime. Per default its minecraft speed, so days arent that long as in reallife.

Vincent, i would suggest getting to know Outerra settings a bit more by going into all the menus to see what is available. It is good when you are familiar with them as it would make things a little easier when you have some issues, applying some logic in these settings can help. This is what I did at the very beginning and I came out quite a bit better off.
