Oh that is what that is.. The right one appears to have a crane on the back.

232 is in the middle, the washing line is a 100 watt MW radio aerial  :)  The left 231 has the later shield on the front and the 231 on the right is an early type.

These vehicles had 8 wheel steering and two steering wheels, one front and one back, it could also drive as fast backwards as forwards.

And these were German vehicles and not French ones? Just kidding - how did the gearing work then?
