It's been nearly a year since we've had any news on biomes or trees, have you got any progress updates for us?
-
Not to nag, but these are my two most anticipated updates (along with clouds). I second this man!

Unfortunately not yet. Angrypig didn't get back to the work on the trees at all, even though it's not that far off if there was enough time for it.
And I had to interrupt the work on the biomes for the 4th time by now.
The problem is that biomes and trees aren't the highest priority for the nearest use of the tech by our licensees (single type biomes can be set as texture sets and used for simulation in a restricted area), and we have to work on other things in order to secure the funds for further OT development and expansion. Nevertheless, trees and biomes are still among the other priorities, and should be finished this year.
Some clouds are actually higher on the list, but I'm not sure if the first version will be globally usable.

Thanks for the information. Do you think trees and/or biomes might make it by the end of 2014 or does this look more like a 2015 item. Thanks again.

We would like to have them by the end of this year .. 2013 is it?
-
The work on 3D trees already begun but it's side task so it will take some time...

Cool beans! Do what needs doing, I'm a patient guy haha

I think humanity is bad enough to dont give them enough time for dinner ... they just saw Cameny wright the first code line ... and now someone of them scratched his head (wait for the earthquake) ;)

That is a nice surprise that they might be done by the end of this year. I really was not expecting anything this year and thought it was more of a two or three year time frame to create a biome. Very good news! I will certainly look forward for any developments.
