You all have seen the lava in the Islands of Hawaii, how it flows from the volcano down to the sea, cooling and creating these black beaches and hills. Is that possible in Outerra?
Also, lava lakes inside certain craters, will these be handled?
Finally about water features, since water is still in early development in Outtera, I should not ask for a lot, but how will waterfalls work here? (Actually how will the whole river system work?)
Some ice breaking of the end of glaciers would also look cool.
(No pun intended :o)

Haven't thought about lava, and as a very rare phenomenon it won't likely be on the plan anytime soon. Lava lakes should be doable much easier than a flowing & cooling lava though, just a normal lake with a different type fluid material.

Well, how would they work ... they will be rendered ... somehow :)
Water won't be simulated (not realistic on that scale), it will flow along predefined (imported) vector paths. Waterfalls should appear whenever there's a steep jump in the vector data.

Can we have any interaction between the water? (waves as you speed through the river with a 4x4)
If the watercraft can leave a trail in the water, you should make any object classified as a vehicle to be able to do so.

Lava is only rare in our world. In many fantasy worlds it is quite prolific. :)
Allowing us to play with the forces of nature that are highly detailed in their function will allow for some incredibly new feeling games, possibly creating a market advantage for game designers, making your product more valuable to them.
