I've installed a couple cars by bugsblake (thanks for his work and anyone else involved) however the front end of them keep sinking... Is there something I've done wrong, or something I must change in the code?
-
I have the same issue. it seems to be less prominent if you can get moving quickly, so I wonder if it has something to do with collision models...
-
Which models are those? Usually happens when the suspension is too stiff for the weight.
-
They're bugsblake's '69 Dodge Charger, Mustang Bullet and '13 Dodge Viper.

I too experienced this. It was like finding quicksand. Only happens on a few cars.
-
Aye, and I'm certain it can be fixed. However, I am not learned in the art of code! Outerra has inspired me to learn though, so one day, I'll be able to tackle these kinds of issues myself and maybe be able to help others out :)

Doesnt changing wheel damping/stiffness/max./min. help ? ... i recall to had the urals aether sinking or jumping "till atmosphere" when it was set badly ... try play a little there in wheel parameters script section.
-
Funny for me, only the Evo and the mustang are sinking, the Viper, Charger and Pontiac are fine.
-
i hope someone can find a fix for this because i also have this issue :/
-
The script ZeosPantera posted for the Mustang here (http://forum.outerra.com/index.php?topic=1811.msg20892#msg20892) fixed it for me.
Haven't checked the Evo yet.
-
Could you tell us where that script goes? I can't speak for the others, but I'm oblivious, but want to learn!

I assume you've installed it by executing the otx?
It should be in the user data folder for Outerra. Default location is "c:\Users\{windows-user}\Outerra" for me ( Win 8 ).
When you install the otx, its contents are extracted into this folder.
In this case the exact location should be:
"c:\Users\{windows-user}\Outerra\packages\bugsblake\ford mustang bullet2\"
BTW: I noticed the wheel size seemed a bit off (the car hovered a bit), so I tweaked it a little. It is not entirely to my satisfaction yet, but it works. See attachment.
I hope this helps.

Thanks thx_nb!
I guess I could have just searched my folders, but it's late now, I'm lazy, and I'd rather not mess anything up when I'm stumbling blind into it!
I'll tackle this tomorrow and see if can get any results. Thanks for the .js link too!
