Title: Problem with update

When i run the game log in screen comes up
then it says updating to newer version or something  then goes to a black box where it says update aborted
code 1
any ideas?

It's actually a wrong info, and the update should be installed - there was a bug in the updater. You can download and apply the patch manually too: Anteworld-0.8.3.4870.patch-4883.exe (http://planet.anteworld.com/appdata/Anteworld/Anteworld-0.8.3.4870.patch-4883.exe)
