I'm thinking of something like a Piper Cub (or perhaps a faster plane) with big "tundra" tires and reinforced gear
Just a suggestion, because something like that could land everywhere ... 8)

I've made a lot of small dirt airstrips in the east of Talkeetna (http://forum.outerra.com/index.php?topic=2855.0). You can manage to land on them and take-off with the Cessna (wich would be impossible in real life, runways too short and too bumpy) but a Cub would be great, yep. I like to use the dden http://forum.outerra.com/index.php?topic=1281.0Shavrov Sh-2 (http://forum.outerra.com/index.php?topic=1281.0) : slow and light, and really cool to fly low above the ground :)
