I DL'd the earth -y 2 GB United States and installed it. Now when I ask for 'latitude 34, -112'
I'm getting a 'loading 3 of 12 mb, 66kbps' at the bottom. Doesn't the program know I have it
on the hard drive?

Did you get the terrain color data too?

You have probably only downloaded the elevation data.

I'm getting spam on firefox pages, 'look at chicks' stuff since I DL'd your program, maybe a
concidence.
Once I typed in my home gps it loaded off the HD
I think I have color, it's purple, but I'm not downgrading my Catalyst drivers for 1 program.
also the terrain looks really flat, this shot is my neighborhood, it's way steeper than this.

I for one have not seen any Spam or Ads on this site at all via Mozilla or Opera.. and that Purple is definitely a Graphic Driver issue - not the 'Terrain Colour Data' Acetone is talking about. Obviously Terry you are aware of this and have no intention of fixing it for your Outerra experience.

Youre check better your browser for "unwanted plugins" ... as for the terrain, definitely driver and the feeling of steepens is depending heavily on the FOV too. You can try to change it a bit in the options ...

The spam 1st appeared on this forum, why I asked, they were 2 firefox addons, gone now, forgot to read about
the 41 things. I downgraded my ati drivers to 14.4, now the purple is gone.
2 questions, how do I change the FOV to make the mountains more vertical?
if I buy this, can I make custom 3d models and would my neighbors have to buy the program to see the
models? I know some who'd buy it just so they could shoot at each other's houses. ;--}

I notice if I load a location, it gives a default altitude of 2.0 KM, if I set the altitude to
less than that, stuff starts loading from the internet
