Title: Rivers protruding from the terrain

Hi

I haven't used anteworld for a while and thought i'd fire it up to see what was new. Love that rivers are up and running now, however i found some issues. The rivers are protruding out from the ground (see attached screenshot) This is from the northern part of Norway. Tried with older nvidia drivers and the very latest drivers, same result

In addition, it's still very barren in these areas. Is there a way to force another type of biome in areas like this? It's supposed to be heavy forested

Oh, interesting :)
Seems there might be a mismatch between the elevation data used for river/road processing and the actual elevation data distributed.

As for the forests, the data currently come from Modis dataset (vegetation index) and they aren't very good for determining the forest coverage. We'll be switching to a more detailed forest coverage dataset where it should be much better.

Yeah, that was my first thought too. Should be a way to lock the elevation data of the river to the height of the terrain.
