Title: Has Outerra been used in some game product?
Post by: kingbyang on September 07, 2011, 11:03:57 pm
Greetings everyone,
I am a freshman here. When I know Outerra somewhere,I can not wait to know more about it,so I come to join in the forum.
Outerra is so cool and potential and break my traditional concept that the OpenGL can be so nice and perfect.
Recently I read a thread about the Outerra in the forum of FlightGear, and someone said that Outerra is the engine of the game of Lock On or DCS.Is that right?
Anyone replies will be appreciate.
Thanks in advance.

Hi, welcome.
No, Outerra isn't the engine of either Lock On or DCS. It hasn't been used anywhere yet.

I think I've read once a post from the originator of this idea, who said he knew for sure we were Russians and actually the guys behind one of that games :)

It isn't used in anything...
Yet.

Because once our lovely Outerra team will finish it, few hundreds games (some never to be heard of) will be coming.
That's my vision. Slightly far-fetched, but Outerra is unexpectable topic...
