Hi, guys!
Last night, when I ran the Outerra for several hours, the Outerra stops working with the error message saying Outerra needs to close something like that. And I sent the report. Is there any way to keep the Outerra from stop working? Thanks!

It's nothing unusual in alpha software to crash or stop working. You may consider yourself lucky when it happened only after several hours of running time :)

It sounds the alpha Outerra is very unstable and yes I consider myself lucky when the alpha Outerra is working for several hours! Would a patch will fix Outerra so it will not stop working? Thanks!

It's not *very* unstable. If you run graphics-intensive application for several hours, the cause of such problem may be also in your computer overheating, buggy graphics drivers, your internet connection dropping or many other things.
Why do you need it to work for several hours though, I wonder?

I have been running other games for several days with no problems whatsoever. If my graphics drivers is buggy, my other games would not run as good as it should. My graphics card is the GTX 550 Ti 1 GB video card. Would the Outerra patch would keep Outerra from stop working? Thanks! Here is computer specs.
Processor: i5 3.0 GHZ quad core processor
Graphics card: GTX 550 Ti 1 GB video card
RAM: 8 GB
Windows 7 64 bit
So therefore, my computer is above the recommended system requirements. I hope this helps you.

Vincent, I'm not sure if I understand you right. Are you trying to tell that something happened and Outerra won't run now at all? In that case, send me eng.log and crash.log. Or are you really complaining that alpha-level software won't run continuously for several hours, and you have to restart it?
Please also consider that other games do not use the new driver features as Outerra does, and it's also what makes it possible for Outerra to do things it can do. Unfortunately, that also means that we are pioneering the usage of these features, and encounter and report many bugs to AMD and Nvidia.

The Outerra runs really well until several hours later, the Outerra will stop working with an error message saying the program needs to close, I have to restart it again. I hope this helps. If the Outerra stops working again, I'll send you the eng.log and the crash.log

When it crashes for you ... attach the log files that cameni mentioned ... understood ? ;-)

It will crash whenever it feel like it vincent. Your case is not special and whatever caused your one crash I am sure will be sorted in the coming months. I on the other hand have a 4000 series card so an hour is my record for longest run. 4 seconds shortest.
It is Beta. Very Beta. In two years come back and complain about your crashing in three hours.

I got good news to tell you! my Outerra has been running fine for 7 and a half hours and now it is still running just fine! It looks like when I sent the report, they must've fixed it! Thanks!

Sorry for offtop, but I'm wondering why is he running Outerra for 14 hours?! I have never played any game so long, even my PC rarely works 14 hours without turning it off...
Vincent1000, you don't have to worry, Outerra is running stable on your PC. ;) And it's still under development.

I didn't run Outerra for 14 hours, I just let it sit there just to make sure it's working good. Now, the Outerra has been running for 16 hours and still running! Yes, the Outerra is stable on my PC, but Outerra will be more stable as the Outerra development progresses!
