A poll to see what your most awaited feature in Anteworld/Outerra is.

So hard to decide! I want to see the trees so badly, but I want rivers lakes and other biomes too... And the model importer will add incredible amounts as well!

I wait especially for improvements of the water environment and the of model importer. Physics-based water would be a dream! ;) I hope Outerra will have wind-dependent water for limited wave height in shallow waters or in wind shadows.

After seeing the grass we just got to have those trees now.

I check my own box for all of the above.
Tracks behind vehicles comes a close second to Procedural Trees.

Personally, I'm waiting for scripting or a SDK... These all have to come first, though, so I think procedural trees sounds coolest.

Outerra seems to be greatly inspired by Minecraft, just by looking at the login screen I can tell. Correct me if I'm wrong...
But I can't wait to see 3D trees and the other simulation elements such as ships and trains.

I like Minecraft too, but I really don't get the comparison that EVERYBODY is making.
The reason flame wars start is just because the products come out at similar times EVEN if the products are a lot different from eachother. The best recent example is probably Battlefield vs CoD, two very different games, and now it's happening with every popular MMO getting released and of course there's the console wars.
I would say my opinion on these, but I don't want to kickstart it. :P It's all about preference.

Humm, coming again here, I see that an Importer is the most wanted feature...
if I remember well, I also have chosen this.
Of course it would be fun we start to try and input our 3d stuff,
but I change my mind now, it is a bit selfish behavior and I do beleive that it is worth we keep quiet
and let Cameni, Angrypig and their team continue to focus on more powerful extensions of their engine... my opinion only

For me the top desire is a C++ API to extend Anteworld functionality with DLLs for modding custom functionality in to Anteworld, with a close second being Linux support.

In my case everyone but i want to see clouds and weather in action from space. Imagine storms formations and that kind of stuff from the space. And of course in the middle of the sea. (if the wind affect or reacts in the water/waves while you are in a boat = amazing)
Of course i know this is one of the hardest things to do and probably we are far away to see that.
So let 3D trees come first and expand the grass to cover more surface so we can take amazing pictures of terrain.

I said trees although I would love model importer and have no doubt that will come out sooner(the basic static one at least). The 3d trees have been shown to be in the works so its something I know for sure the devs can ad in within a reasonable time-frame, some of the other things may take allot more time, except vehicle tracks, am sure that can get in early.

I have chosen rivers and lakes - for now!
Because honestly said: ALL the features mentioned here are on my "wish-list" as well (I am just imagining clouds and weather in OT :) and then trees and then ...)
I am also really looking forwad for all kind of various landclasses with all kind of existing biodiversities, agricultural areas and so on ... cities and different cityscapes (with various housingtypes, roadsystems and so on) and much more!
OT is fantastc but with this being some sort of "wishlist" I now simply put my few cents in here as well!

I'm waiting for everything in the poll. But the most im waiting for multiplayer & modifying terrain (i mean destroying, making holes, big holes... :D).

Must be all those damned fly fishermen.. I'd like to see a vast desert/rainforest first.. But everything will come sooner or later so what ever you want to undertake first.

On the other hand, definitely following in his steps.
Since our grandpas knew zilch about atmospheric scattering and how the skylight is actually a scattered sunlight, they had no problem writing he created day and night three days before creating the sun itself, thinking sun was just a marker of the daytime.
But now, the thing is - I have implemented atmospheric scattering (the "daylight") some years ago, but there's no actual sun yet (initially there was not even a sun "image"). Maybe, three years after the daylight came to be, there may come also the sun itself.
God is a programmer.
We are doomed :D

Wait...are you saying you may be working on a 1:1 scale sun at the moment? That would be mind-blowingly awesome! :D

I would love to see trains in Outerra. And suitable model importer to make custom trains/tracks etc :)

What I want most right now, is a Trophy Truck with some proper physics.

keeping every thing at a 1:1 scale in the Outerra world would definitely be awesome. would like a world of my own, that i can build to my heart's desires :)

Well...I'm probably strange, but a basic AI and collision detection on all objects and I'm fine for now.
Later I would probably opt for resource gathering, and a system that allows you to use them to build in "walking mode" instead of the "ufo mode".
Stuff like trees, or biomes are way down on my list. :P
