why it came out all pink? I'm slowly getting the hang of it though.

The importer can't import all material types used by all modeling programs out there, only the basic ones. Since OT has its own material system you usually have to adjust the materials specifically for it. Support for importing various materials from modeling programs should get better over time, but right now it means always editing the matlib file.

Ok, you probably know what my next question is...

what code do I need to put into the matlib file? Is there some sample codes somewhere I can draw from. This pink is killing my eyes  ::)

matlib file contains materials that were found in your model. You just edit them to get what you want - the pink must be there. The doc about individual parameters is in the wiki (http://xtrac.outerra.com/index.fcgi/wiki/material).

Thanks, Cameni. I actually found the layer colour that I needed to change as per my screenshot here. However, i'm trying to workout how to get the chrome look.
