I'm deeply impressed by Anteworld. At first glance it looks almost perfect except single biome, no rivers and lakes, no weather and not enough trees :) It looks ok in some mountain areas in Europe, but, it seems, there are very few trees on all flat-type terrain. For example, in central Russia or Siberia. There are many places with deep woods, but in Anteworld these places are covered by grassland with very few trees.

Trees will soon be placed based on BlueMarble data instead of terrain topography. That means if there are trees there on earth you will have trees there in-game.

The best reply I wanted to see :) Is there any ETA for this?

It's ready when it's ready ;)

The seeds are being planted :)

Sounds good :)
Btw, there are a few tweaks in terrain section: limit-treetile (96 by default), tree coefficient (0.14 by default) and tree bb distance (0m by default). Can I use them to temporarily increase the number of trees? What do they change? Looks like tree coefficient is that what I need :)

Those only change the rendering parameters, not how the trees are generated. At the moment you can't get more trees there ...
