I've installed a Facepunch-style rating on the posts, since many people wanted something like that. Let me know how it works and if we should add/modify the rating types.

looks good! and works well! :)

lol when I first saw the rating system I thought at first I was made a Moderator or something. Till I started reading the little icons and what they was. Pretty kewl indeed.
-
Do they have a reddit style upvote system? That would be the ultimate.
-
There are +- points given for the rates on posts, But it's not used to sort the topic threads within the boards. That would require something more complex.

Great way to gather feedback and consensus on ideas. Love the execution of this.

I think it's good too, but in Firefox I get no indication of what each icon means.

I am using Firefox ver. 21 and I hover over the icons and get the name of each icon. What version of Firefox are you using Steve?
Maybe getting rid of your cookies and reload the page and check again? or hold ctrl key and f5 to just try reloading page.

My ff works fine.

I was on 12! At first I thought you'd made a typo, Kelvin, but I have since updated to 21.
Unfortunately, no soap. Still no balloons. I think I have them disabled in FF. It's clearly a problem on my end.
Update: Yup. It was me. I had browser.chrome.tool_tips set to "false." Something else must have irritated me.
In case anyone isn't aware of help:config in Firefox, that's where one goes to change deeper, more arcane functions not exposed in the rather crappy FF options menus. Just type help:config in the address screen and you can do all kinds of undesirable damage. :D

Nice one, glad you got it sorted.
