Title: 360° View possible? Multiple offset cameras (liquid galaxy)
Post by: hmb12 on January 23, 2014, 04:36:01 pm
Would it be possible to output a full 360 field of view?

Either with multiple cameras on the same machine. Or with multiple instances, networked, where the rotation of each camera is offset, but the position is locked. Like liquid galaxy for google earth.

Yep. Currently with networked instances, later also from a single computer.

This here rendered on a 360° dome using the built-in spherical projection. Running on 3 synced computers, 16 FullHD projectors (2x8).

Great! Cheers

Do you have any link to getting this setup?

Also, do you have any videos of the dome set up showing real time movement?

It's not supported in the demo/game version yet, it's a part of special simulation version that we used for a demo to a customer. We only have this one from the testing, other ones where there's a movement (aircraft/vehicles, tracers) are unfortunately classified.

What interests you in particular?
