Well, thermals are turbulences due to temparature differences in the air-space, probably most felt on morning, where cold ground gets heated by summer sun making little air pockets/flows of different air-pressure get under the wing ... doe, was just once whyte a Cessna in my hand in realz. Felt just the normal turbulence (was quite shocked that they were so strong to be felt both on plane and the stick).

JSBSim example code that could be used

http://jsbsim.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/jsbsim/JSBSim/examples/FlightGear.cxx?content-type=text%2Fplain (http://jsbsim.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/jsbsim/JSBSim/examples/FlightGear.cxx?content-type=text%2Fplain)

If anyone knows what it does please chime in..
