Hello, i was pretty excited about this update because it had a huge increase on the FPS, but i noticed some strange stuff in the terrain shadows, which makes stuff odd.
Some screenshots:

^ I thought this problem was caused by not having tree shading enabled, but when i restarted the game, this bug was gone.

^ Having tree shadow enabled fixed some problems but not this one.

^ This is the most common problem, the "cut" shadows.
^ There is no direct sunlight to be possible to do this.

^ There is no shadow in front of me but where i am there is.

^ More tree shading issues that were fixed on restart.

^ It doesn't want to create a shadow in this place

^ Same place from another angle. The rocks are also magically illuminated despite the sun being behind the mountain. On the left side of the road same thing is happening.

^ I don't know what this is.
Notes:
-Changing terrain resolution and texture resolution didn't matter, so it cannot be caused by lack of detail on distant terrain.
-Before the update, same settings worked fine.
-My settings are:
- Terrain resolution: 480p <- changing didn't matter
- Texture resolution: High <- changing didn't matter
- Shadows: Medium <- changing didn't matter
- Terrain shadows: enabled
- Tree shadows: enabled (in some photos) <- didn't matter
- Ambient occlusion: off <- didn't test it but highly unlikely it is caused by this
- Grass distance: 36m
- Tree rendering range: normal
- Tree shading: off
Thanks for reading!

I saw a few of these anomalies yesterday. None this severe.

These bugs are known limitations of current implementation, when parts of terrain are erroneously lit when sun is too low and the occluder is too far.
Except for the screens with trees not being shadowed, that were fixed upon restart - might be a glitch, or one of the debug shortcuts (alt+[shift, ctrl]+O) that toggle some parts of the shadowing system.
-
Is that limitation from the optimization? Because on 0.8.3.4853 i didn't notice any shadow or shading glitches, but i had much lower fps.
I don't know about the trees, i never used that shortcut and i've never seen that happen again.

Also i've seen this:

(i don't know how to embed video files, sorry!) (no need to download, its a direct link)

Not sure if raw Webm is embedable yet.

Today i found some severe terrain shadow bugs when travelling.

^ Instead of creating a full shadow it just does the "outline". The area behind the vehicle should all be shadowed but it is not.

^ Same here
Are you guys having the same issues as i am? Because i don't know what might be causing this.

I think, the current inplementation of terrain shadows is more like a preview and has its limitations. For instance, rocks don't cast shadows by now.
