Desktop versions available in 2015, using the Outerra engine, looks jaw droppingly good but is this Outerras own commercial venture or a 3rd party?

Out of that bomb dropping (witch kinda looks like they made a aircraft with an bomb model - the one from falling onto the T-72 snapshots i mean) its mostly well cut already applied stuff. Else, the building and city models are quite a few !

... also found this at the VSS site :

Seems they implemented some stuff on the arma game too, for military equipement and standards training.

That means, something will appear till 6-th December when ITSEC is ower ... guess will have to pick an eye to its youtube-channel.

It's directly in the source code of their web page, not really hard to find :
Code: [Select]
<a id="bgndVideo" class="player" data-property="{videoURL:'http://youtu.be/vbdeyhksZv0',containment:'body',autoPlay:true, mute:true, startAt:1, opacity:1}"></a>In fact, what you see in the background of the website is just this youtube video upscaled to match the window size and with an overlay effect  :)

There is also a really interesting info in the footer :

Quote
TitanIM holds the exclusive license to the Outerra world rendering engine for military applications.

Nice :D ... now i mentioned at the end the scene editor. So there is already some programing for vehicle routes too. That will be interesting for epic vids. and mock-ups ! The drawing on the map is also nice, would be handy if in multilayer, one could share with a group of players such a thing. Perfect for group navigation and strategy development.

Yep, really interesting. I wonder what specific aspects will be present in Outerra, but I guess Cameni will wlarify it later.

The balistic system in the video seemed a bit more advanced. It's also cool to see clouds in real motion, even if the artifacts of this prototype are clearly visible.

Cameni said previously that he will talk about these side projects when they will be announced (end of the year). Bongodriver discovery kind of hijacked their com plan but I'm sure we will get more info sooner or later  :D

great find. thank you very much.

In fact, it's a background video for the website, hence, no sound.

I'm sure it's fine, the TitanIM website is public, so I don't see why it could be a problem. There will probably an official announcement from both compagnies during ITSEC, according to the informations found by PythonPago, an event wich is happening right now, so I don't think there is a real announcement hijack here  :)

Edit :

Holy sh*t, Is it...? I know that boat!

Edit2 (nevermind, from description it's VBS, not Outerra)

Who said there was no video noise.?
We chopped the video, we ordered we add ingredients: a little music, and some drums of war, and excitement,,,,,, cook and this is the result.
all yours soldier.

Their website is really broken when I try to go to it, and seems to change a little bit every time I refresh it. Weird...

for me the website just returns an error now.

I find if you shorten the URL to this: http://titan.im/www/

and refresh usually at most four times then the page loads but in a really messed up state.

Sherlock Holmes on report :

The Ryan Aerospace HELICREW UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter simulator. Laser Shot (based in Orlando) have integrated an exciting and brand new software platform known as "Titan" to work with the Ryan Aerospace HELICREW. Titan provides a holistic simulation environment as a unifying platform for new and existing simulation capabilities to interoperate and expand beyond traditional approaches. Titan leverages a whole world representation of Earth to allow any user to create a new scenario, modify the environment, or participate as a virtual entity - at any point around the world. With full scenario editing, scenario debrief, and a game-quality high fidelity synthetic environment within one application, Titan caters for end users out of the box as well as developers seeking a capable platform to author custom training solutions.

It's now public info, no worries writing about something you saw on the web :-)

I wanted to write some news about it, but we've been caught fixing bugs and getting various hardware to work (we are currently in Orlando at the show), so I'll write something once we get some time.

I am really looking forward to more news, the stuff that video shows looks great and really shows some of the potential of this awesome engine.

Titan.. I guess that works for those military types.

Is it just me or are those screen photoshopped on there? Seems like WAY too good a viewing angle. Unless this represents military tech displays in action.

Sherlock Holmes, phase 2 :

PythonPago posted the website link in reddit and someone had really interesting info there :

Quote from: Mikochu
The Titan guys are great. I'd like to talk more about who they are, but I signed an NDA agreement about six months ago and I don't remember what I can and can't say.
However, I'll talk about what I saw publicly at IITSEC. They are partnered with Laser Shot and Intelligent Decisions and they are featured at their IITSEC booth. They had prototype simulators of a ship platform, HMMWV driver/gunner (Oculus DK2/VSS HMD), UH-60 (Ryan Aerospace, triple-screen GTX 980 running at 5760x1200?), and DSTS (1.5 week rapid prototype!)
From what I know, the DSTS setup normally runs VBS2, but they've also got Titan (MilSim Outerra) and Unreal engines running...and they implemented Morpheme.
I didn't get to play around with the integrated demos as I had a meeting to attend, but I did play around with a Titan demo that ran server-side (virtualization) for an R&D project I know about. The menus are spruced up, but not too different from what we're used to in Outerra...
I'm excited for Titan and what they are bringing to the table in military simulation. Right now, I feel Bohemia has everyone by the balls and it makes our lives miserable.

And this is probably legit because : http://forum.outerra.com/index.php?topic=2619.msg27709#msg27709 (http://forum.outerra.com/index.php?topic=2619.msg27709#msg27709)

 :)
So the boat thing I posted earlier will be used as a sim setup for Outerra, like the Heli one !

To play out my childhood Matrix fantasies  ;D

Hah, but seriously.. I use that one too, just not when gaming. The 3 in the center are connected to my work/gaming machine. The one on the far right is connected to a Macbook Pro. My usual setup is email on the far left, web browsers in center, code editor/bash right, then misc on the far right (usually skype + music). I could never go back to a single monitor setup now.

I've searched a bit but didn't find a lot of video except the official channel one. I bet there is a strict policy on pictures/video inside the event and people. Most of the pictures are from pro photographs.

Not the whole planet, but impressive.

The TitanIm didnt catch as much channel mainstream probably as no real sim is still on it, but maybe some of those there would get into it. Still, last day isnt there on channel yet (mind the newest is from yesterday) so maybe tomorrow something comes up.

Few other things :

They were recruiting since 2012. The job site is in polish : https://poslovi.infostud.com/posao/C-Game-Programmer/Titan-IM-Ltd/84394 (https://poslovi.infostud.com/posao/C-Game-Programmer/Titan-IM-Ltd/84394). So it's not a really recent project.

More interresting, they have already sold licenses of it, since 2013 actually, to the Australian department of defence (a 52,778.00$ contract) : https://www.tenders.gov.au/?event=public.cn.view&CNUUID=16C49921-E6C3-DC31-6C3C506B20353BDA (https://www.tenders.gov.au/?event=public.cn.view&CNUUID=16C49921-E6C3-DC31-6C3C506B20353BDA)
