Hi, im new to the forum and to Outerra!:)
It looks so great so i'd figured i would give it a try.
But the tech demo download is not availible.
Anyone care to update?:)

I've tried both Firefox and Opera, but still a dead site.
Any other reason for it not to work?
Region locked maby?

Addition,
Tried on my laptop.
Same issue, the links work the first time ( both of them )
39MB is downloaded, can be installed.
Opening the software gives an error message ofc.
The link goes dead when i try to redownload it

It's supposed to be a 424Mo .exe file, for some reason your pc only download a part of it, wich explain why the installer crash...
If the problem is present on two computers and firefox/opera, it may related to your ISP.
Have you tried to download similar big files from different websites to see if it happens again?

I download stuff on a daily basis.
Ranging from 100MB to 30GB.
Could it be related to port forwarding?
I have very little knowledge on our router.
I had a mate forwarding a port to gain access to an online game.

Note that the demo will constantly download parts of the global elevation dataset. I hope this one won't be locked in your main computer, but in this case you can download the full dataset here (http://forum.outerra.com/index.php?topic=2396.0).

It is definitely worth doing! Only one DL and you have the whole world to explore. I recommend if you have the storage space to download the entire Earth.
