Title: Shadow, black object at distance
Post by: Revolver on July 07, 2015, 04:48:22 am
Hi Brano,

so a shadow is caused when the sun is at 12:00 clock. And it does not matter whether one has above clouds or not.
This takes about to 12:30 clock, then the shadow disappears.
I do not know if all that occurs only with me and if "yes" what can I do? ::)

Driver: 353,30 GTX580, 3Gb RAM.

Looks there might be a problem with texture mipmaps or texture formats you used in materials.

Do you want to have OTX file?

Yes, that should be simpler.

... i have the GTX 570, and this "error" after closing is actually a thing for me for a longer time, doe, many newer graphical applications do this to me (no matter if a clean instal and regurally updated drivers).  ... i allways took it as GC being slowly pushed out of general support by creators ...

for me the hangar just looses its colloring a bit (you can clearly see the bright-brown camo pattern parts there, so the texture seems to be shown anyway) :

... doe, the weird owersaturated colloring of wehicles is gone, now theyre fine again for me. Maybe that hangar thing is just the same going on, exept its normal at close range, doe, i havent had visible mesh vertex-to-vertex lines on the vehicles before.

P.S.: AH-DG, is that camo on it a genuine thing ? ... it looks quite a quality camo for WWII times. Would look and perform good even on uniforms.

Ok ... I have the problem solved. I've deleted everything and new Imports and it's back.
But I think the problem is yet, because after the CLOSE OT always this error message appears. Probably so when importing what went wrong.

@PP
WTF ... and I thought why I have the problem ... now I know ... PP has rummaged with me and ruined everything ... this worse finger-partizanOs ... :P =D ;)

Because Camo - YES. So you have it already had in WW2.
Although I have SW photos but a similar pattern looks still there.

The normal map didnt have mipmap, actually there was but they were all black. Also you set the roughness to 0.10 (in the OTX) which is quite shiny.
With mipmap and high rougness it look perfect  =D
