Outerra mentioned on the BeamNG forums. This was a while ago, though. Still, an interesting idea. Certainly both Outerra cars (and its boats!) need some attention.

The degree of blind fanboyism on reddit can be astonishing at times.
"It will never catch up"
With that line of reasoning, no one could come up with a new IP on genre they have never worked on, incredibly dumb.

I'm guessing this isn't something to get in on unless you're really officially in on military sim stuff for your real world needs?
Or could this be treated like any other Early Access program?

Who knows? I suspect the only important question they might ask is, how much money do you have?

The cost to join the EAP is USD$35,000, which is a significant discount on the regular cost of the licenses, and the included training is essential (licenses will be provided at the end of the course).
At this tag price, you're sure only companies will enter the program and especially companies really involved in this kind of simulator. It's not like a Photoshop licence they would buy because it could be usefull, at this level you can be sure they already have the hardware (cockpits, VR) :)
They talked about public licenses in the website, but I guess it won't be available until the program is already stable and solid content price, but you can probably expect a significant price, like it is the case with the public version of VBS.
What these companies buy at this price is mostly an advanced tech support for their projects integration into Titan ("Influence into the items and prioritisation of our development roadmap").
-
Oh whoops... I read "$35.00" somehow.... :P

Wow...
I'm simply blown away, this looks incredible, the possibilities of Outerra are really immense! I only wish I could have all these assets to play around with and make scenes like these screens but then I went on sites like Turbo Squid and saw how expensive a single good looking 3D model of a warship or helicopter can be and besides I wouldn't even be able to import it myself without errors! and a lot frustration based on my past experiences. But it's good to see what the future of Outerra might be like, even if this Titan simulator will remain closed source and not available to the general public.

Inovae keeps an interested eye on Outerra. I find the parallels between the two programs and their different approaches/goals interesting. In another forum, I was in a thread with an Inovae fan who was interested if Outerra had cracked the river water height problem.
https://forums.inovaestudios.com/t/planet-generation-outerra/511
Some more stuff (well, I found it interesting) to wade through regarding very basic procedural world building: The author went into a lot of detail for people just starting out.

I was looking at G-sync monitors, and was wondering if the Outerra devs had any thoughts on the tech. Searching for the keywords Outerra and G-sync only brought up one thread though. A Russian site for Outerra mods? For some reason this one startled me, though it makes obvious sense. I just wasn't expecting a new mod site right now. In ANY language.
http://playwithmods.com/outerra-mods
-
I thought this one was already mentioned around the forum, but a search for it gives nothing, weird.
This website actually provides mods for a variety of games, so adding Outerra to that is pretty trivial. Although, the fact that the author of this site came across the engine and considered it to be on the same level as all other featured games that have much larger player bases is kinda interesting.

Outerra is having a PS4 release! WOW!
(Edit: In fact I think I'm not going to keep the link, it will improve ranking and traffic for these idiots)
In case it's not clear : do not download this torrent, I'm 100% sure there is something bad bundled with it.
That said, I think we can all take a moment and appreciate that wonderful description of the game:

There is also a french version of the same description in an other website, and it's an even worse robot translate.
:))

That's such a clickbaity start of the post...
There is also a link on page with xbox360 version, I have trouble imagining how Outerra would actually run on that system.

I bet it's a robot indexing games with some popularity and creating fake pages with a custom torrent (and an hilarious text). They're probably labelling it PS4 or Xbox 360 because of the platform popularity.
