Sony has adquirdo SofKinetic Belgian company specializing in developing software for 3D content and visual detection of gestures.
SoftKinetic, is a company founded in Brussels in 2007, well known for having developed "Time of Flight" (TOF), a method for solving the distance to an object in 3D environments, generating estimates for proper vision, space and reflection of light on the object.
Sony thus obtained sensor technology range of motion with the idea of developing their own games with PlayStation VR (Virtual Reality)
