Title: Terrain Pipelines are entirely manual?
Post by: Cytokinestorm on January 15, 2016, 11:01:37 am
I have a need to make big terrain areas from vector data.  Are there any automated pipelines for importing data from vectors and models?  I have seen the videos about how to interactively add content but that is not suitable for my needs.

I also see that you have a job posting that is looking for the skills that it would take to accomplish what I need so I am a little worried that the engine currently cannot do what I need.

Thanks in advance,

Only 2D data are imported from vector data (WIP, things like road network, artificial land class info etc). It's automated but with relatively high specialization for particular source of the data, since there's usually lot of missing and inconsistent info.

Things like global elevation and biome data are imported from raster sources.
