Title: Deep holes in Swiss mountains (no, not the ones made out of cheese!)
Post by: ThimoBeil on November 23, 2016, 03:15:48 am
Hi, I really enjoy the demo, a wonderful engine, good work!
While flying over the Swiss mountains near Grindelwald, I encountered deep holes.
Now I don't know the area too well, but these holes don't seem familiar and would probably be a well known tourist attraction if they existed. Could you check the data, please?
Screenshots with GPS info attached.
Thanks a lot!

These are likely holes in the satellite data. The new 30m SRTM dataset we used was not yet patched in areas that were obscured by clouds during all satellite scans, but there should be a better version later.
