Title: river water reflections absent when diving in river

I wonder why diving in a outerra seas you can see very nicely the watersurface reflections when diving below sealevel, plus light gets dimmer when diving deeper - whereas in rivers when diving and looking towards the sky you can't see any watersurface or reflections at all and lighting conditions are same as above sealevel. At least sunlight should get dimmer when diving in a river.
