Title: No more sand beaches in new version?

I like the new update very much. However i was not able to find any sand beaches so far..in places where they used to be in the previous version. It seems to me that grass is present on all shores. Is this only my impression or is there a reason for that?

I have noticed this as well, I think it probably has something to do with providing better inshore water depth, but I may be wrong.

I second that. No more beaches but white grass partly under water. Surf waves seem to be too fast and foam diminishes too quickly.

Probably hasn't been implemented for Lakes and improved shoreline accuracy.
