Title: Howdy Yall. Been a while.
Post by: AKNightHawk on January 06, 2019, 09:33:54 am
Just stopping by to say howdy. I have not been on here in quite some time. I just came by to check up on this awesome engine. And to see how things are going with development.

I have not been through everything yet. But I do have some questions. Has the ability to add animated models been implemented yet? For things like vehicles? I am still looking to add mechs to this engine for fun.

I saw an awesome video of a few updates.

Was just wondering if the animation system has been added. Also, I think I remember that weapons were added a while back? I remember seeing a vid where the player character had a gun?

Anyway, I just wanted to say howdy to yall. And hope that everyone is doing good. :)

Hi AKNightHawk. I can't talk for developers about the animation but i suggest you to have a look at the "character animation" forum thread (https://forum.outerra.com/index.php?topic=3684.0 (https://forum.outerra.com/index.php?topic=3684.0)) to see how far we users have managed to use the character animation in outerra. There is also info on the  outerra anteworld github page concerning all available programming commands for animation but we need still to create animated models by ourselfs. From the developers there is the animated mercenary that can be accessed by opening scenery editor.key F7. and under assets search for mercenary. Place it and exit scenery editor (esc) and "enter" the mercenary as you do with vehicles. Can't grab anything yet. He has a gun though.
