Title: New high res DEM data of Moon

Some open DEM data of the moon is very high res. The news sites are linking to some crap versions of it but with a bit of digging and a guess of the web page then these seem like a much better link. About 8 tiles of 600Mb if anyone has the time and energy to try and download them. Its a bit too slow for me - maybe we should all wait a few days for the news to die down a bit.

Nice, downloading :)
Though I'll need to add special support for the polar caps into mapressor first.

Drat, I can open it in GM12, but that is only a demo version, and my GM8 working copy can't process the particular IMG format used...  :'(

Why did they use a proprietary format for the high res data, but standard Geotiff for the 64 px Global image??  ::)
