The first two look nice, but they could still use some work in rendering the mountains correctly.

Keep up the good work. Screens like this will be a big attractant for new people!

Just give a simple TF2 Scout and some gun(s) and I could walk around these epic places forever.

At least, until Anteworld proper is out.

Lovely screenshots. This is looking great!

BTW: It's called STEIGTINDEN - not STEINTINDEN.

Very nice that Matterhorn. Can I found them in the Alpha demo?

If it is on earth it should be able to be found in the demo.

But it's on Pluto so you will never find it. >:P
Nah, jk. The mountains in Outerra are rendered too "roughly", IMO. I mean, compare the peaks of the mountains and see what I mean.

I'm currently figuring how to put my plane into orbit so I can record the sunrise as I whip around the planet.

Would be needed to make an Mig-25 for this kind of stuff : P

I wanted to give a try, but it is kind of hard to get the exact same spot/time than the original photo has been made.
Well, here are my tries, for Mount Blanc and Mount Ventoux, both in France :

Mount Blanc real life (45°50′01″N 006°51′54″E)

Mount Ventoux real life (44°10′28″N 5°16′44″E)

Ah. Mont Ventoux.. I can't wait to race up that in Outerra. rFactor leaves something to be desired as far as the view goes. rFactor - WRC Subaru - Mont Vernoux (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1WZmHIDD7o#)

I bet nobody can find the locations of the shots of the mountain ranges and ocean view from the Windows 8 login pictures.  ;D

I don't know what this login picture looks like, but you gave me the idea to find the place where the Windows XP landscape picture, used as default wallpaper, looks like in Outerra :)

The original Windows XP wallpaper :

How it looks like nowaday :

How (I guess) it looks like in Outerra (coordinates : +38° 14' 56.25", -122° 24' 36.91") :

The place on google maps : http://maps.google.fr/maps?hl=fr&q=38.248966,+-122.410269&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.r_qf.,cf.osb&biw=1600&bih=811&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wl (http://maps.google.fr/maps?hl=fr&q=38.248966,+-122.410269&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.r_qf.,cf.osb&biw=1600&bih=811&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wl)

Some polish tabloid wrote, that Hel Peninsula may disappear in future. So... that's a future simulator?  :P

Some time no post here -- i was stagered, that in our region almost no snow has fallen all the winter, ewen when we should be one of the most snowy in SR. So we took the chance of great weather whyte my friend to find some in the near Roháče mountains (part of the High Tatra mountainside). I think, i will start using OT to search for fancy sceneries to visit in the future.  :D  (of course FOV is a little mis-matched)
