I have the basic Demo and it will not boot up.  It says it cannot find my ATI driver information.  I have the latest drivers for my ATI Radeon 2600 XT.

I do not know if it is trying to update via the 'auto update' system.  When I boot up the game via the EXE file, the warning pops up, then an outline of the screen, then it blinks off, and its over.  It never really boots up.

Is there a way to load the update manually?  Will the Demo feature the update in the near future?  My thoughts are that my rig will perhaps not run this.  :(

Many thanks for any advice.

The house shadow bug is back, this time not from the start but after travelling to another location and picking another time of day. I also got a screenshot of it.

Awesome! I love flying the airplane! (Though I wish the helicopter wasn't a nightmare). I had to remap my controller after the update, but that was not a big real. Two things. After 5 minutes of playing I was in the helicopter and my game and NVIDIA driver crashed.

"I have seen this Event Log Message:

The NVIDIA OpenGL driver lost connection with the display driver due to exceeding the Windows Time-Out limit and is unable to continue.

The application must close."

Also, I am getting an error spammed while in the program. My controller does work and respond, but this is still being spammed.

I still can't get shadowmap distance to go higher than 2000 either by applying it in-game or manually changing it in the eng.cfg.  Is it supposed to be able to go higher?  Fullscreen in-game toggle still doesn't work, but toggling it in the cfg does work.

Oh yeah, and (other than these old bugs,) it appears to be working fine so far in Windows 8.  :P  (Fresh Outerra install except for old eng.cfg file because changes don't seem to take effect for me in the default file it creates, even with write permission (another old bug) (which was a pain to allow in W8 for Program Files and other folders  ::)  Stupid security... Allow Admins to be Admins damnit...)

Where do you have the data located? Fullscreen toggle works, I'm wondering if it's not a problem of file permissions in Program Files ..
UAC level?

My UAC level is set all the way down to Never notify.

As for the airplane, when I flew one and then spawned a new one, I could not start the engine. It was off, and I would press the start engine button and it would spin up and then down again. Also when I went back to UFO mode the airplane sound would play occasionally regardless of whether I was near the airplane or in orbit. Maybe something you may want to look into.

As for the water, I have always been a huge fan of CG water, and this water is so amazing it almost literally brought a tear to my eye. Fantastic work! The waves are unbelievable!

Did you give it mixture ? Press home for more mixture and end for minus. Try starting the engines when you gave it mixture

Do I do it before or after, or just spam it? Also, is there a gauge that shows if it's giving it mixture or not?

-It should be done before. If it doesn't work, try putting it up while starting. If that still doesn't work, spam it :P

-I can't tell as I still have demo. I can't use vehicles except truck :P

EDIT: try look in the cockpit after watching this video:
Cessna fuel mixture control (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QlW7wdW1pqU#noexternalembed)

EDIT2: @cameni: what about throttle up-Q and throttle down-Z as defaults, like in arma ?

Good to hear! Thank you for the consistent patches. As for my airplane, I cannot get it started for the life of me. It spawns me in it with the engine off, and I start it and it hits 10k rpm and then goes back down to 0. I tried spamming the mixture buttons either way but it just won't stay on. What am I doing wrong? Is there a way to check what my mixture is?

Where are you trying it? What height?
Title: Re: New patch: 0.7.11.2982
Post by: Luishi5k0 on March 02, 2012, 12:47:46 pm
Near the spawn, more towards the mountains. I tried it at a rather high height and continued to try and start it until I hit the ground.

You have to adjust mixture down in higher altitudes (home/end +/-). Btw service ceiling for this plane is ~4000m so don't expect much from this plane at such high altitudes...

I'll try that out right now. If my game works. I just tried but every time I touched my controller my game froze and I got this message up top:

Edit, re-plugging it in worked for it. But I'm guessing that shoulden't have happened in the first place. Anyway, I found out for some reason my controller was messing up those mixtures. I still wish there was a way to see what the current mixture was.

Also, I'm still experiencing a problem where I leave the airplane and the airplane sound still continues to persist regardless of where I am.
