Title: I launch Outerra but it just closes! More info inside.

Okey, so I just updated my Graphics Card so that I can run Outerra (I currently have the demo) but whenever I launch the program it says "Preloading Data", finishes, and then just quits! It takes me back to the desktop! Why? And how can I fix this?

Are you running any graphic tools such as evga precision? If so turn them off try again. Also I suspect you will be asked to supply your eng.log file so may as well post that aswell  :D

I don't really know what graphic tools are so, I don't think I have any. And as for my eng.log, how do I access that? Do I post it here?

A graphics tool allows you to tweak your graphics hardware. Perhaps post your pc specs aswell.

Here is a thread about finding your eng.log. Just post it here once you have it.

On your system disk, look for Users folder, then /<your windows name>/, then Outerra. Inside there should be eng.log but you probably don't see file extensions, and will only see eng - there are two such files, you can upload both. Also crash.log if you find it there.

You can attach it as a file when posting. The file can be compressed as well.

It was installed under "Steven" account, but you are trying to access it logged in as "Cameron". Cameron cannot access Steven's home directory.

The installed data files seem to be either corrupted or inaccessible, please reinstall. You may want to delete the Outerra folder altogether, just to be sure.

Hoping it has nothing to do with Norton 360.

Just run the installer, no need to download it again.
