Would these models load into Outerra?
« on: August 14, 2013, 04:42:52 am »

Hi all

I am keen to introduce some new models to my movie and wanted to know if these will work and if so, how I load them.

Yah this would work because they support collada/.dae(needed for the current importer) and autodesk/.fbx(needed for the upcoming importer). So you just have to import the model via the importer. I think its the F6 key. Afterwards you probably have to set up the material settings, so the textures gonna work.

Thanks buddy!  I wish we could get shadows to cast from the trees and adjust the time of day.

Outerra supports both. For adjusting the time of day you can click on Location and change the tab to Sun. Shadows are already implemented and can be set in the settings. The only thing missing are terraincasted shadows.
