This is my first post. For several years, I've only flown with DCS Ka-50 (BS, then BS2, at present DCSW BS2).

Yesterday I've installed and flown outerra (anteworld, ufo mode), then, connected to internet, i'm registered, then i've selected coordinates of the island of Crete, and the program (after update) have loaded datas, and I've flown on island. Really nice, so much so that I wanted to purchase the full alpha version.

But, this morning, the program does not start (CTD). I was not connected to the Internet.
Question: we need internet connection even when the datas of any region have already been downloaded? My internet connection isn't very good, so can i fly anteworld offline?

i've forgotten: Win 7 64, quad core, geforce gtx 580, 4 Gb ram.

Currently it needs the internet connection, the program checks if there are newer versions of the terrain data and program updates.
You can run outerra.exe with the -demo command line parameter that makes it try not to connect to the net for the update checks, but that also forces it into the demo mode.

There will be also a full offline mode but it's not implemented yet.
