Hello all,

I would like to know if features listed below could be plan, study or simply consider.

building physic (somethink like destruction)
soft body / rigid body
fluid simulator
characters skeleton, animation and other.
specific physic like coriolis effect and/or others
support of planet specific gravity

Will you implement a planet generator ?

regards.

Animations are being actually handled (FBX importer), so we have just to wait for AngryPigs work on that.

As for Coriolis effect - its really a small force and usually its used only in water streams of great mass ower large periods of time to be visible enough ... but if you wanted to use it in OT as a Time-sim for such effects, maybe it would be more simple to make an simplified function depending on Latitude and time (maybe river surrounding ground composition - that is some material constant).

... a planet creator is planned, but will be done after most of basic stuff on Earth is near completion (will take some time).

Cameni mentioned some "black box" - for fun whyte physics for individual objects too in the future ...

For fluids .. dont know much there.  :(

Thank you for answers.

I got few more questions.

will outerra can render space objects like asteroids, shooting stars, aurora and others (
what about bumpmap and other texturing tools?

thanks for replies.

found the wiki has changed a bit lately and there are actually implemented texture types explained :

http://xtrac.outerraworld.com/trac.fcgi/wiki/material

Texture specific parameters are bound to model material on witch its put (.matlib file of the object) so you can use the same texture on an other model mesh whyte a separate material set (as in the 3D tool like Blender, 3DSMax etc. witch will be taken care of by the importer to the OT sufficient way) and change the matlib parameters to have your desired effect on each of it ...

As for space objects, as i know, Cameny and AngryPig will go on space only after finishing Earth (moon and possibly all Solar system) but not sure about asteroids and auroras, but im pretty sure it will be possible to program them in once the engine is so far (but possibly is some years away right now).
