Real Newbie needs information
« on: April 04, 2014, 11:13:44 pm »

I make alot of stuff in blender and recently have been making some aircraft models

Couple of questions
Fist question is how is the model to be used set up in blender/
i made one with a wing, fuselage two props right and left fixed wheel and rear wheel
Is this correct?
I imported it into the engine under objects and when ask at the import part clicked aircraft for each part
is this the correct way to do it.
the model showed up under objects but in pcs but when i clicked them all it went together ok and was placed in scene
i didnt make a thumbnail yet because i wasnt sure i was doing it right.
Next question is if im not that far off is how do i make it a flyable aircraft?
Is there a program outside of the engine that can help?

thanks

Hi there ! ... the model needs an Base-mesh to witch the parts are parented (parenting to the second selected mesh is trough "Ctrl + P" in object mode - not edit mode). Just make yourself an empty mesh by copying the frame of it and deleting all its vertices. Then parent all the parts to it - then in OT, import it as aircraft/vehicle and select all the parts you need to be involved in its script (i just usually do all of them - but i do use them :D )

We are still undeveloped as long as we don´t realize, that all our science is still descriptive, and than beyond that description lies a whole new world we just haven´t even started to fully understand.
