PROBLEM with 3rd person view

got a new pc loaded game and it runs fine but when
i try to change cameras a little black box appears at the bottom of the
screen with a >cursor and when i hit c it types it in the box
i can hit escape and it goes away but i still cant switch cameras

any ideas?

Hi,

Are you sure you aren't hitting Alt+C ? With default controls Alt+C brings up the command prompt console, which sounds like what you have. C switches external views, V switches to internal view. Or did you edit your Controls? Hit Esc and bring up the settings Menu, go to Controls and look at what keys you have for commands. You can reset to default if anything is changed.

Delete your config files in the data directory (not program), in iomap folder - base.cfg and air.cfg

C:\Program Files (x86)\Outerra\Anteworld is this where the file iomap is

i tried deleteing them both but get an error warning when i try to start game
game will  not run at all unless i put files back
