Well the problem is that Creationism denies that evolution happens, and basically asserts that the simulation is run every day anew from some predefined state. Plus that state looks as if the evolution happened. That really needs a lot of faith, but it's usually a better subject for fantasies that there's a special purpose for us.
The Thirteenth Floor was good, there was another movie along these virtual lines,
Dark City (1998), but again with a "real" world behind it.
Cameni, in how many days you've created the Earth globe in Outerra?
Not in seven, and I usually can't afford to rest on Sundays
Interestingly, I implemented the atmospheric scattering (the day) before creating the Sun, in the same way how the effect precedes the cause in Genesis because early people didn't realize the it's the sun rays that are creating the daylight, and believed instead that the Sun comes onto the day sky (that was a common belief in early civilizations), and so in the book the sun gets created 3 days after the daylight.
But with regards to this topic, maybe the universe simulation was launched the same way as in Outerra - in alpha and full of bugs
