Snow vs green grass in northern areas
« on: September 13, 2013, 07:04:06 am »

Is there a way to have anteworld render grass/summer biomes instead of the white snow covered areas in northern regions? I'm especially thinking of Norway, where it's all rendered as snow covered ground. We don't even have this kind of snow during the winter.

It was recently discussed here: http://www.outerra.com/forum/index.php?topic=2164.msg23330#msg23330

I'll probably tweak it to match the temperatures of Northern Europe, until the biomes resolve it globally.

Thanks for that!
It's kinda gloomy in the game, since even the north of Norway can look like this http://nordnorge.com/sites/n/nordnorge.com/files/992240066.jpg large parts of the year. The temperature can swing from +30 to -50 degrees C in the northern parts during one year, so using a mean temperature might not give the accurate picture. Thanks for your great work btw.
