That should be fixed once the rivers and lakes feature is added I believe.

That's not bad considering that no human has ever laid eyes on that place in Outerra until you. When shoreline contours are used that should be fixed.. Then again. For the purposes of the game so much time has past that may be accurate.

Well I suppose with all things considered (yes, even our earthquakes) that would be plausible. Looking forward to the classification fixes though :-). i'm drumming through Outerra in New Zealand and have been ever since I got this Alpha and I'm trying to find flaws but considering what Flight Simulator X was like by default, this just crushes it totally.

Most likely.  I doubt Cameni or Angrypig are very happy with some of the anomalies as they stand.  Now that this is in alpha, it'll be a lot easier to identify trouble spots for correction.

And I will be more than happy to help pick out the warts if it's going to make this engine shine. What has been said before is that there is a certain reliance on the community with a project so huge and as a experienced Beta tester with other products i am used to getting my magnifying glasses out to look for things that could be better.

I think if he could flag when one data point varies by X amount of height offset to another.. Say something like 1000 meters in height. I think that would help a great deal.

You know what? I was just thinking about that because these types of flaws are generally quite high. As a matter of fact in my real life flying I use VFR charts that show the highest elevated terrain in the area, so, why not try and use this type of data for certain areas as there should only be terrain up to a certain height. I'm sure you could find a few weird elevated hills like this. However I have just come here again to post a screenshot of another anomaly which, in this case, are cliff like terrain formations that actually shouldn't be where they are. Not sure how we get around this one.
